Handheld scanners drop their connection mid-pick
The handheld clings to the wrong access point instead of switching in time (sticky client roaming).
Forklift computers roam slowly between zones
Too little overlap between access-point cells — the device stays on the wrong one (cell overlap).
Barcode scanners perform worse in cold storage and high-bay racking
Attenuation and reflections move the coverage edges — exactly where no one ever measured.
AGVs or AMRs lose contact on certain routes
They need unbroken backup coverage along the whole route — a single weak spot is enough to stop them (secondary coverage).
Push-to-talk stutters in parts of the warehouse
Disturbed by access points transmitting on the same channel and by heavy retransmissions (co-channel interference).
Coverage got worse after you reorganized the racking
New fittings change the radio environment — the access points sit where they were planned for a building that no longer exists.

You implement the actions internally or with your existing vendor. ITX can then perform an independent verification survey. The report and raw data remain yours.

On-site measurement
We walk your facility with Ekahau Sidekick 2 and measure actual signal values where your pickers and forklifts move — not theoretical values.

Visual heatmap
Color-coded map of coverage, signal quality, interference sources and dead zones. Per floor, per zone, per forklift route.

Prioritized action list
A concrete list of what should be adjusted — AP positions, channel plan, power levels or hardware. Vendor-independent, no jargon.

No access to your systems
We never log in to your firewalls, WMS or controllers. The survey is done externally with our own equipment.

You get the raw data
Alongside the report you receive the Ekahau project file (.esx). The survey data is yours — not locked in with a vendor.
